The technologies start with Extreme Notch Weighting, which redistributes the weight to the low, rearward area of the toe and heel, creating a high moment of inertia (MOI). This improves your distance and accuracy on mis-hits at the heel and toe, making it easier to approach the green. The clubs also take advantage of Variable Face Thickness (VFT) technology, which allows Callaway engineers to lower the center of gravity to produce an optimum trajectory with each iron in the set, giving long irons a higher launch angle and short irons and wedges a better trajectory height. Add in a 180-Degree Undercut Channel--which maximizes perimeter weighting by moving the center of gravity even lower and farther back--and you have a club with a large sweet spot that hits the ball far and straight even on rough swings.
